What happens during the 7-day free trial?
You get full access to all EMP DJ features with up to 2 bookings. No credit card required. After the trial, you can choose a paid plan or your account will be deactivated.
Will my price ever go up?
No — existing customers are fully grandfathered. The rate you sign up at is locked in for life. It doesn't matter what happens to our pricing for new customers in the future; your rate stays exactly where it is for as long as you remain a subscriber. We believe loyalty should be rewarded, not penalised.
How does usage-based pricing work?
Your plan is based on capacity, which scales in intervals of 2 events per date. For example, if you're on a plan that covers 2 events per date and one month you need 3, your plan simply moves up to the next tier giving you capacity for 4. There are no restrictions on how many events you can book in — go ahead and book away. Our built-in forecast tool shows you weeks and months in advance if your usage is trending toward an upgrade, so you always know what's coming. Nothing extra to pay right now, you only pay later when your capacity actually increases.
Will I get a cost forecast before I'm charged?
Yes! Your dashboard shows a real-time forecast of your upcoming bill based on your current event count. You'll see weeks and even months in advance if your usage is trending up, so there are never any surprise charges. You're always in control of what you'll pay.
What if my event count changes month to month?
That's the beauty of usage-based pricing. During busy months like wedding season, your bill reflects the extra events. During slower months, it automatically drops. No manual plan changes needed.
What payment methods do you accept?
Subscriptions are processed securely via PayPal.
What payment gateways can I use to collect payments from my clients?
EMP DJ integrates with multiple payment gateways so you can collect payments from your clients: Stripe, Mollie, Square, Revolut, PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, and CashApp. You can configure one or multiple gateways to give your clients flexible payment options.
Is there a setup fee or cancellation fee?
No setup fees and no cancellation fees for monthly plans — you can cancel anytime and you'll only be charged for the usage during your current billing period. Please note that yearly plans are non-refundable once purchased.
Do you offer annual billing discounts?
Yes! Save 16% when you pay annually. Annual plans also include priority support and additional customization options.
What is the "Done-For-You App Customization" included with yearly plans?
When you choose an annual plan, you get a 1-on-1 consultation with one of our automation specialists. They'll help you create all your templates, workflows, forms, and automations customized to your business preferences. For things like payment merchant accounts and SMS gateways, we'll guide you through the setup process step by step since those require your own login credentials. It's hands-on support — saving you hours of setup time so you can focus on booking more gigs.
